Laboratory for investigating the molecular and cellular biophysics of the synapse
The dynamic interactions between neurons at the synapses play fundamental roles in brain function. Alteration of trans-synaptic interactions relate to the dynamical changes of the topology of the neural circuits. Our laboratory studies the precise molecular mechanisms that mediate these trans-cellular events. We use combination of various techniques that includes molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, structural biology, and electrophysiology.
