The Division of Pediatric Urology at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is one of the major centers of excellence in treating children with an array of Urologic problems.
Children's Hospital was recently ranked sixth best in the United States in Urology in the annual listing of America's Best Children's Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
Our Pediatric Urologists care for children with any problem associated with the urinary tract and/or genitalia. The urinary tract includes the kidneys, ureters, and the bladder. The medical and surgical management of children with problems in these areas requires a different approach on the part of the treating physician. Our Pediatric Urologists have published more than 200 articles and book chapters in the field of pediatric urology. They are also internationally recognized for both their clinical and basic science research and have received numerous awards for basic science research and clinical research from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Pediatric Urology. The division also offers an accredited two year research/clinical fellowship training program that is widely considered one of the top three programs in the country.
