The first step to apply for a position at Vanderbilt Medical Center is to visit the Vanderbilt Job Line to search our current listing of open positions by category or keywords.

After identifying a position from the Vanderbilt Job Line that is of interest to you, carefully read the job description posting to ensure
- your skill set meets the requirements listed,
- the salary range listed meets your own salary requirements.

How to Apply at Vanderbilt Medical Center

Online
Each Vanderbilt Job Line posting is identified by job title, Req (requisition) Number, and Department and a direct link to “Submit Your Resume.”   After clicking on the link to “Submit Your Resume,” first time users of the Vanderbilt Job Line will need to establish an account and return visitors will be asked for their username and password. 

After logging in to submit a resume, make sure your application includes complete, up-to-date information regarding your education, past employment and contact information including e-mail (if you do not have an e-mail address, use the link on the online application to create one where you can receive updates on the progress of your application).

You may apply for as many positions as you are interested, but please apply only once for each individual position.

In Person
Visit one of our recruitment offices to complete a paper application or have one of our staff members assist you in completing a Vanderbilt Job Line application.  Be sure to bring a paper copy of your resume so we can include it with your application.  You will also need to know your social security number.  If you are interested in applying for a particular position, please bring the Req Number to reference the job listing.
