PHYSICIAN LIAISON PROGRAM

The intent of this program is to improve Vanderbilt's effectiveness in addressing referring physicians' concerns and meeting their consultation, patient care and continuing education needs.  Physician Liaison staff assist physicians in making referrals, obtaining consultative and follow-up reports, and accessing medical center resources.  Continuing Medical Education programs are offered as a courtesy through the Physician Liaison Program to physician groups within the referral region.  Vanderbilt faculty offer presentations on current topics and customize presentations to specific educational needs of the physician group.  Accreditation can be offered through Vanderbilt for Category I AMA Physicians Recognition Award or Prescribed Credit through the American Academy of Family Physicians.
