Reference Range: Normal response
Tube Type: Lab will draw. Patient must present to Vanderbilt.
Specimen: Lab will draw. See below for scheduling information.

Pediatric Requirements: Lab will draw. See below for scheduling information.
Temperature: Room Temperature
Stability: Room temperature: 4 hours
Reasons for Rejection: Patient has taken over-the-counter medication that affects platelet function, including dietary supplements and herbals, within 7 days of collection.
Days Performed: Monday - Friday
Times Performed: Morning only
TAT: 2-3 days for interpretive report
Special Instructions: Must be scheduled with the lab, 615-875-5633 or 615-343-9164. Patient should not take over the counter medications, dietary supplements, or herbals for 7 days prior to testing. Patient must present to Vanderbilt between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. on the day of testing. Patient should be fasting.
