Specimen: Whole blood, bone marrow or purified DNA (1μg)
Alternate Specimen: Yellow top (ACDH) tube for whole blood or bone marrow
Volume: 4 mL (whole blood, bone marrow)
Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL (whole blood, bone marrow)
Temperature: EDTA, ACDH tubes: Refrigerated or room temperature; Purified DNA: Refrigerate or freeze
Stability: EDTA and ACDH tubes: Room temperature - 2 days, Refrigerated - 3 days; Purified DNA: Indefinitely at -70 C
Reasons for Rejection: Client will be notified by Molecular Diagnostics Lab if specimen is rejected
