Reasons for Rejection: Same assay within 4 days gross contamination, hemolysis, lipemia, icterus
Days Performed: Monday Friday
Times Performed: Morning
TAT: Same day to 3 days
Significance: Serum samples with high IgM antibody titers to Cytomegalovirus and Herpes Simplex Virus may demonstrate a non-specific reaction in the EBV capsid IgM assay.
