TAT: 4 weeks for negative culture. Varies for positive culture.
Significance: Positive cultures are called. FUNGAL BLOOD CULTURES ARE ORDERED ONLY WHEN NON-YEAST INFECTIONS ARE SUSPECTED
Special Instructions: There will be separate charges for organism identification and susceptibility testing when appropriate.
