| | Anne J. Sweeney (1914-1984) was a medical social worker and author. She received her MSSW from Catholic University in 1936. She was a Social Worker at Vanderbilt University Hospital from 1937-51. Then she served as a Medical Consultant for the Tennessee Department of Health from 1951-1957. She returned to Vanderbilt first as an Instructor and later was promoted to an Assistant Professor of Preventative Medicine from 1957-1973. She also was an Investigator and Research Coordinator of the NIH Project "Experimental Studies in Hereditary Deafness," 1966-1974. |
