Interested in flexible staffing options and working in a variety of patient care areas?  Do you want to broaden your nursing skill set while building a strong base of experience in a variety of patient care areas? 

If so, Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Clinical Staffing Resource Center is the perfect place to develop those skills.  We offer several flexible staffing opportunities with self-scheduling options so you can maintain your busy schedule outside of work.

Clinical Staffing Resource position hires will receive a focused orientation and are required to complete skills check-offs for competency assessment.

Full Time Benefited Positions

Registered Nurses
RN’s with at least two years of recent adult acute care and/or critical care experience may choose to float in adult medical/surgical areas some of which are telemetry units and/or adult critical care and stepdown units.  Nurses who have the experience and the desire to float through multiple areas are eligible for float differentials and full-time benefits.  Weekend and holiday staffing requirements may apply.  There is the option of self-scheduling, as well.

LPN’s and Medical Assistants
LPN’s and Medical Assistants with at least two years of recent out-patient clinic experience may choose the option of working in a variety of out-patient clinical areas and are eligible for float differentials and full-time benefits.  In most cases, work schedules are Monday through Friday.
 


Non-Benefited Positions

Registered Nurses
RN’s with at least two years of recent adult and/or pediatric acute care or critical care experience may enjoy the flexibility of floating to different units/areas throughout The Vanderbilt University Medical Center and out-patient clinics including off site clinics.  There are several staffing plans available that depend on the number of hours scheduled in a given time period.  There are minimum hour requirements and all positions require weekend obligations for in-patient areas and Friday obligations for out-patient and procedural areas. 

LPN's
LPN’s with at least two years of recent adult and/or pediatric experience may enjoy floating to a variety of out-patient clinics including off site clinics.  There are several staffing plans to choose from that depend on how many hours you would like to work.  There are minimum hour requirements and Friday obligations for out-patient staff.
