Dr. Tulipan's clinical focus is on all aspects of pediatric neurosurgery, with a special emphasis on congenital defects of the nervous system, hydrocephalus, craniofacial reconstruction, and surgery for spasticity.
Education:
Dr. Tulipan received his MD degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD in 1980.
Postgraduate Training:
Dr. Tulipan completed his internship training in Surgery at The Johns Hopkins University in Balitmore, MD in 1981. He continued his residency training in Neurosurgery at that institution between 1981 and 1986. He became a diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons in 1989.
Other Responsibilities:
Dr. Tulipan is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Society for Neuroscience. His professional organizational responsibilities include membership on the Pediatric Neurological Surgery Section of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
