AND ENDOCRINE SURGERY A. Scott Pearson, M.D. Dr. Pearson specializes in General Surgical Oncology involving the endocrine and gastrointestinal systems as well as the breast. He is currently the chair of the Multidisciplinary Solid Tumor Board of The Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. Education Dr. Pearson received his undergraduate degree (B.A., Biology) in 1987 from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, TN, in 1991. Postdoctoral Training Dr. Pearson completed his Internship and Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Research: Regulation of the tight junction protein zo-1 in colorectal cancer.
