Dr. Dattilo has had in-depth training and experience with all aspects of endovascular and open operative techniques to treat vascular disease. He has distinctive and extensive experience with all commercially available endovascular devices to treat abdominal aortic aneurysms. Dr. Dattilo has particular interest in thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms and complex aortic operations. Additionally, he has clinical interest and expertise in both carotid stenting and open operative techniques for the treatment of cerebrovascular disease.

Education
Dr. Dattilo received his undergraduate degree from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida (1987). He received his medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina (1993), where he was awarded the Frank H. Longino Award for excellence in the clinical care of surgical patients and elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Postdoctoral Training
Dr. Dattilo completed his surgical training at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond (2000). During his training, he spent six months in the Vascular Unit at the Withington Hospital, a busy aortic center in Manchester, England. Additionally, he was awarded an individual National Research Service Award from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute for his research of the genetic regulatory mechanisms involved in vein graft failure (1996-97). Dr. Dattilo completed a Clinical Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston (2002).
