Dr. Guzman's CV E-mail Dr. Guzman Dr. Guzman specializes in the treatment of patients with diabetic vascular disease. He is involved in several clinical and research efforts aimed at preventing amputation in patients with diabetes. He is particularly interested in the management of chronic critical limb ischemia using both minimally invasive endovascular methods and traditional surgical approaches. Education Dr. Guzman received the ScB degree in Applied Mathematics/Biology from Brown University in 1982. He received his MD degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1986. Postgraduate Training Dr. Guzman completed his internship and residency in General at the Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, in 1991. He then served three years as a surgical research fellow at The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health.
