Cobb Pilcher, a brilliant neurosurgeon and protege of Barney Brooks, established and developed the Division of Neurologic Surgery at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. A native of Nashville, Pilcher entered Vanderbilt University at the age of 14 and completed his M.D. degree at the very young age of 22.
