Photographic portrait of Robert L. Post. Robert Lickely Post received his A.B. degree from Harvard College in 1942 and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 1945. After serving as an instructor in physiology at both the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Post joined the Vanderbilt faculty as an assistant professor of physiology in 1953. He was promoted to full professor in 1966 and became professor emeritus in 1991.
