Giles Christopher Savage, M.D., was an internationally known authority on diseases of the eye. He graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 1878. He took on postgraduate work in London and Vienna for two years in surgery before returning to America to practice in Jackson, Tennessee. During his time his Jackson, he studied ophthalmology.
