Will Rice, a Nashville native, has worked in web based healthcare technology for over eight years. He has extensive experience with online application development including programming, business analysis reports, information architecture, graphic and web interface design. Prior to joining the Volunteer eHealth Initiative, he was an independent consultant working with companies including Kroll Background America, digiChart, MG Taylor Corporation, and Vanderbilt Center for Better Health.

Through his engagements at Vanderbilt, he has assisted in several business and organizational strategic planning session with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, Economic and Community Development Council, Guidant, Renal Care Group, and Nashville Health Care Council. Will was also instrumental in the development of O2I, an interactive tool that combines clinical workflow analysis with research data to calculate the benefits of healthcare technology implementation. Will started his healthcare technology career in 1997 working at HealthStream where he worked for almost five years helping to create online learning applications for healthcare employees.
