Gerry Hinkley is a partner in the national law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP specializing in health law and life sciences. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara and received his doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. His representative experience includes: mergers and acquisitions, health information technology network development and system procurement, corporate finance, joint ventures, emerging companies, facility development, corporate governance, regulatory compliance including Medicare anti-fraud and abuse, Stark/PORA, HIPAA and Licensing and certification. Mr. Hinkley represents hospitals and academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, physician organizations, RHIOs, behavioral health and substance abuse treatment providers, venture funds and investors. He is a member of the State Bar of California, New York State Bar Association, HIMSS RHIO Federation Task Force, CCHIT Certification Process Working Group, Connecting for Health Policy Subcommittee, and the Director, Safety Net Institute of the California Association of Public Hospitals. He also is the founder for the Bay Area Health Care Breakfast Club.
