| Linda L. Kloss, RHIA, CAE Linda Kloss is the Chief Executive Officer of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), a national association of more than 45,000 health information management (HIM) professionals founded in 1928. Before joining AHIMA, Linda served from 1985 to 1995 as a senior manager for Massachusetts-based MediQual Systems, Inc., where she oversaw the growth of MediQual's clinical information management software client base of hospitals from its original six beta-test sites to more than 500. Linda also oversaw the evolution of products from manual data collection to Windows-based clinical information analysis tools. As senior manager for Chicago-based InterQual, Inc., from 1976 to 1985, Linda took part in the design of a number of performance measurement systems, including Surgical Indications Monitoring, genetic screening, and screening criteria for utilization management. From 1968 to 1976, Linda held a number of academic and practicing HIM positions. Linda served on the AHIMA Board of Directors from 1980 to 1986 and was president in 1985.
