Linda Quick: Good morning, I'm Linda Quick with the South Florida Hospital and Health Care Association. We have a terrific team. It took us two whole panels to write it and three inches to rewrite it. The people were Greg, Mark Swanson, Lisa Rowlands, Jerome Todd and Rich Robletto and myself. |

Transparency is defined for us as comprehensive, accurate, independent understandable set of pricing and quality information on an actionable level which is timely and distinguishes between alternatives under consideration by payers, purchasers, providers, patients and policy makers. We enjoyed those deliberations. |

AHCA is a state agency which sets standards. It sets providers with regulation and funding which some other people have mentioned. Where most transparency provides the technology both electronical health records, web sites and other means. Facilitates culturally appropriate communication between interest groups. |

Interfaces with the federal government. Educates and protects the public. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of transparent information on service utilization, cost and quality. And in their spare time they...and we believe all the stake holders in the room share the following principles. |

Honesty, value, completeness, standardization, understandable timeliness, accuracy, usefulness, accessible, non-punitive -- which I think we might be the first people to mention that. Cooperative, fairness, trust and meaningfulness and we had a good time.
