Tom Lloyd: This is a very simple framework that we have used in the past to help organizations lay out a strategic plan. And so they have placed a different goal related to each of the swimlanes, not as actually having walked around and heard what you said.
So as you move through your work, we keep talking about, "We’re never going get it right. It’s never going to be perfect." Well, this isn’t perfect, it’s not right. Your work isn’t perfect, it's not right. We need to iterate and synchronize.

So, this next work round that we'll have after the demonstration of the next generation of the website will be how do we synchronize these things? You’re going to need to have to look at this board.
You’re going to need to then say, “You know, I don’t think that’s the right goal. I think the goal is this. What’s the goal of our work?” What is the goal of having a provider-consumer relationship that AHCA is going to facilitate? What is the purpose? What is the goal that we’re shooting for, out here probably?
And then what are the things, the steps that are going to get us there over time. I mean, we shouldn’t think about this as just near-term stuff. Anyways, so that’s what this is. We’ve been taking copious notes and we’ve been talking. Some of you have plans already. You have tiers and phases of work that you’ve been defining and we will start to populate these boards with that. |

But this is really just the tool that we’re going to iterate as a team moving forward. So, I don’t if there’s a lot more explanations that we need to give. Any questions about this?

Tom Lloyd: Well, we’re going to talk about that after the.... So the work now is been kind of—we’ve been stepping, we’ve been trying to push people to get out here, over to the right, out in the future where the ideas are... Who ordered their first book on Amazon in the year 2000? 2001? 2002?

Tom Lloyd: It has been more than five years? No? So, the point is, the diffusion of innovation takes a long, long time, right? 75 years between the idea of knowing when, what the treatment for scurvy is to actually getting the British navy at that time to say, “We will implement this." All you've gotta do is drink limes. Why they became a bunch of limies."
You think I’m joking about that.

Tom Lloyd: Pirates of the Carribean, anyway. So the ideas is, we have to go out here. I mean, if blogging, if web content by usergroups, if all that stuff is out here. I mean, out here, we don’t even really know what’s going to be out here. And I just know other organizations so....
So you need to start by the team that did the whole price and quality. They drew the big picture, they drew the model and said, “If you really want to do it, you’re going need all of this." And the first thing we’re going to do is maybe way over here and it’s not going to be all of that. |

We’re going to have to figure out how to take that thing and break it up into cycles so that we learn and iterate the design and we hone in on what is the right answer for the citizens of Florida. So, that’s going to be our work for this afternoon, and we'll help you get there.
But now, we’re kind of moving to the left side of the board and we're saying, “Somewhere in here, a new website is going to go up, right?”
And so, we want you to see that so that you understand, "Oh, we put 10 things on our board and 9 of them are already on the website. So, maybe we should think a little bit farther out in advance." Right?

Lisa: First of all let me, on behalf of Dr. Angwunobi, he had to leave. But I think he was very pleased with the commitment and the level of enthusiasm all of you, advisory council members and workgroup members brought to this process today. I just would like to personally thank you for being here all day and hanging in there. We've got a lot of the heavy lifting done. Tomorrow should be a little bit easy.
Speaker: You're looking at me like....I know

Lisa: I'll let Tom go into all of that. But thank you very much for your participation today. I know about at the end of the day I'm a little worn out but I think it's been a wonderful exercise in stretching the imagination and getting our creative juices flowing. So thank you for everything you brought to the table today.

Tom Lloyd: It's a little different than our process and other processes that you go through. There's a lot of times when you show up in a meeting and say, "This is what we are going to do from here to there, here to there, until the end." And you realize that somewhere about three quarters of the way through, anything that happens at the end is not something you needed to participate with.
So we're a little different. As you can tell, we've been building from stuff we've created and brought to you and you're not taking ownership of that and moving it forward. And tomorrow is literally going to be, "OK, you got some great ideas. We've got the blueprint laid out for how we want the bathroom to look, but how do we actually now build the bathroom?"
And so tomorrow, through the end of the day, we will be iterating again. Across all these - laying out the timeline. We've got a really great first cut at it in the back. Expect to be here, expect to be engaged. And again thank you very much for your energy so far.
So we're halfway there, and as the trail guide liked to say, "We'll take you as far as you want to go." And feel free to push on us much as you can and we'll try and get you there.
