About VISP
Each year, VISP scholars will be selected from non-U.S. citizen applicants to one of five biomedical Ph.D. graduate programs: the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program (IGP), Quantitative and Chemical Biology (QCB), Epidemiology, Hearing and Speech Sciences and Biomedical Informatics. There is no separate application for international applicants to be considered for VISP. Applicants should apply directly to the program that they would like to be admitted to. All applicants who indicate on their application that they are not a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident will be considered by VISP.
VISP scholars will receive full tuition and stipend support for their Ph.D. training in their chosen discipline, dependent on maintaining good academic standing. Scholars will have special opportunities to obtain additional training in communications, to participate in programs especially designed for the needs of international students, and to serve as a mentor for new international students.
