November 2006 What to think about this Month: Register for Spring Semester before Friday morning, November 10 and email Mary when complete! Don't forget to mark your calendars for the Annual Student Party at Mary's house, Saturday evening November 11. What could be more fun that twister with your fellow students? Tip of the Month: Start with the last slide first-When preparing for a presentation, sometimes it is helpful to do it a little bit "backwards." If you work on the last slide of your talk, you will focus where you want to end, and what is most important for you to convey during your presentation. Then, you can build a case for the conclusions you make in that last slide-some people literally work backwards from that last slide, but others prefer to go back to the beginning once that slide is done. |
