Recruitment Innovation Center

Hands and WorldWith funding from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) at the National Institutes of Health, Vanderbilt University Medical Center recently established a Recruitment Innovation Center (RIC) to investigate ways to address challenges in recruitment and retention of participants in clinical trials.  The project is led by co-principal investigators Consuelo Wilkins, M.D., M.S.C.I., and Paul Harris, Ph.D., M.S.  The Center for Knowledge Management (CKM) contributes to the project in several ways, bringing expertise in critical appraisal of the biomedical and grey literature, health literacy, learning styles, clear communication, and computer science.
