Join the VUH Gift Shop in Supporting the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt's Healthy Children Program

Please join The Vanderbilt Auxiliary Gift Shop in supporting the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt Healthy Children Program.

Vegetable and flower seed packets will be available for purchase in the Vanderbilt University Hospital Gift Shop. Proceeds from the sale of the seed packets will go toward medical and nursing scholarships.

Let’s make it even more special by providing a donation box to collect packs of seeds for community garden projects with our Community Outreach Department’s Healthy Children program. Simply buy an extra pack or two of seeds while you are getting some for yourself and drop them in the box provided to be given to the garden projects working with our program.

We will have vegetable, herb and flower seeds for sale. Veggies are just 89 cents per pack and will be given to area high school gardens such as Glenncliff Garden Project, to be grown by students as a team-building lesson in commitment, self esteem and healthy eating experiences.

Flower seeds will be $1.59 and come in Butterfly, Hummingbird, and Perennial Wildflower assortments to be given to other area schools to grow as fundraisers for their programs. They will raise them and sell the plants to generate funds for their schools.

This program will continually grow and expand and every little bit of help will make a huge difference in these children's lives. Think of how proud they will be to see the plantings all the way through to the harvest. They will learn early good eating habits and valuable sustainability lessons also.
