Save the Date: Nancy Brown, M.D., to Headline VUSM MSTP Physician-Scientist Speaker Series, April 20

The Vanderbilt Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) is pleased to announce that it will host Nancy Brown, M.D., chair of the Department of Medicine, as this spring’s physician-scientist speaker.

The entire Vanderbilt community is invited to Brown’s presentation, entitled “The Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System: Old Drugs, New Tricks,” that will take place April 20, at 4 p.m. in 214 Light Hall. A reception will follow in the South Lobby of Light Hall.

The Physician-Scientist Speaker Series was initiated by MSTP students to enhance their career development through interactions with renowned physician-scientists who have successfully met many of the challenges facing this profession.

The series is organized by a committee of student volunteers who select and invite two speakers each year after gathering suggestions from other students in the program, faculty members and research mentors.

Please visit the MSTP’s website at if you have questions or would like additional information about the program.
