John M. Leonard lecture to feature physician and novelist Carol Wiley Cassella, Thursday, Feb. 6
The John M. Leonard Lectureship presents "Where Do We Go From Here? Reflections on Death and Dying in an Era of Medical Miracles," featuring visiting scholar Carol Wiley Cassella, M.D., on Thursday, Feb. 6, at 8 a.m. in 208 Light Hall.
Cassella is a staff anesthesiologist at the Surgery Center of Silverdale and Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. She is a Wall Street Journal expert panelist and associate editor of “Mind to Mind,” the literary section in Anesthesiology, the journal of the American Society of Anesthesiology. Cassella is a national best-selling author of two novels, "Oxygen" (2008) and "Healer" (2010), published by Simon & Schuster, with a third novel, "Gemini," scheduled for release this spring.
