Medical Center-only Limited Submission Opportunity: 2014 translational grant, from the V Foundation for Cancer Research

Vanderbilt may nominate one candidate for the V Foundation 2014 Translational Grant. The Translational Grant is a $600,000 award paid in $200,000 installments over a three-year period. Ten percent of the grant annually may be used to offset the indirect costs of the project. The project team must have a minimum of two scientists from Vanderbilt, and the team must possess basic and clinical research expertise.

Please note: The proposed work must not be currently funded by other mechanisms external to Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.

Anyone interested in being considered as Vanderbilt’s nominee must submit the following (in PDF format) to by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 21.

1. Brief (two-page maximum) research plan including summary budget;
2. Brief statement of support from department chair/center director;
3. A brief CV or NIH Biosketch

Submissions should reference the program name in the subject line of the email.

Once received, all proposals will be forwarded to an internal review committee that will choose the final nominee. The chosen nominee will submit a full proposal to the Foundation by the May 13 deadline.
