Health behavior among African-American men the subject of May 2 lecture
Join us for light breakfast and coffee as Leah Alexander, Ph.D., and Raymond Mitchell, MSPH, share their experience as collaborators in a community engaged research effort to understand health behavior among African American men in Tennessee. Data has shown that African American men, especially those living in Tennessee, suffer from numerous health disparities. While often believed to be “difficult to reach” by health care providers and researchers, our presenters will share their success using novel technology to collect data from an interesting group of African American males and provide an overview of their research findings.
