Osher Center for Integrative Medicine offering gentle yoga to soothe headaches

This five-week series is designed to relieve the stress, congestion and tension that can constrict space in the head. Attention is placed on relaxing the upper back, neck, shoulders and skull through gentle movement and breath; thus providing simple tools that allow the mind to soften and relax.

Suitable for: All levels class for individuals who experience headaches including migraines, tension and sinus headaches.

When: Thursdays from 4-5 p.m., March 3 –March 31. Recommended Registration by Feb. 25 

Cost: $60 for the 5 week series

*Cancellation policy: Participants may cancel up to one week before start date without penalty, after that date, there is a 20 percent cancellation fee. No refund is available after the class start date.

Instructor: Amanda Wentworth has been teaching yoga full time for more than a decade and received her primary 1,000-hour Hatha Yoga certification through Iyengar instruction, then furthered her studies in New York City with the therapeutic style of Katonah Yoga. Amanda’s most recent studies and teachings are in the Krishnamacharya lineage of TKV Desikachar. She is currently undertaking a three year, 1,000 hour yoga therapy certification in this lineage through YATNA, an International Association of Yoga Therapist (IAYT) accredited program.
