NIH S10 programs announced

The ORIP S10 program encourages applications from groups of NIH-supported investigators to purchase or upgrade a single item of expensive, specialized, commercially available instrumentation or an integrated system. Types of instruments supported include, but are not limited to: X-ray diffraction systems, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectrometers, DNA and protein sequencers, biosensors, electron and confocal microscopes, cell-sorters and biomedical imagers.

Budget range for the Shared Instrumentation Grant: $50,000 - $600,000
Budget range for the High-End Instrumentation Grant: $600,000 - $2,000,000

VUMC and School of Medicine (SOM) investigators intending to apply to either S10 program should submit an internal proposal to the VUMC Office of Research for faculty review.

An internal proposal is required for projects that will request matching funds. Proposals submitted on behalf of or in collaboration with a VUMC core facility/shared resource or any SOM core will be prioritized for matching funds.
