Coming Soon: 2016 VUMC Culture SurveyIn about a month, staff and faculty across the Medical Center will spend time sharing their voice to make the organization a great place to work. The 2016 VUMC Culture Survey is scheduled for May 16-29.
The survey is your opportunity to provide the Medical Center with your feedback and opinions. Your voice helps us build a stronger VUMC, and creating a great place to work takes all of us.
Last year’s survey, held in June, was called the VUMC 2015 Staff Community Pulse Survey. The first thing you will notice is we have a new name for the survey this year to reflect the combination of three surveys that support our efforts to continuously evaluate and improve our performance.
So, what is new this year in addition to the survey name? We have selected a new vendor, health care research firm Press Ganey, for staff surveys. Press Ganey will now handle the nursing Magnet survey, employee safety culture survey and the staff engagement survey, allowing us to view correlations between employee satisfaction and patient satisfaction. This year’s updates to the survey will streamline the survey process.
“The culture survey is one of the best ways to receive feedback from everyone,” said Susie Lyons, HR workforce engagement consultant. “Your feedback then allows us to celebrate our ongoing successes while targeting where we can continue to make improvements.”
