Kennedy Center holds training on adult disability services in Tennessee for parents of children 18-26

The Vanderbilt Kennedy Center is seeking parents of children between the ages of 18-26 with a disability to participate in a free two-session training on adult disability services in Tennessee. The training will take place on two Thursdays, Dec. 8 and 15, from 6:30-8 p.m. each night at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, located at 110 Magnolia Circle, Nashville.

Participants will learn about using person-centered thinking in planning for adult services. Also, they will learn about SSI and complete an SSI application during the second session. Each session will include a videotaped component as well as a hands-on session. Participants are required to participate in both sessions.

Light refreshments will be provided each evening.
