Vanderbilt Department of Neurology

Adult Residency Requirements for Application

The Adult Neurology residency program is a categorical program where applicants match for all 4  years.  Applicants do not have to apply seperately for a PGY-1 position which is spent primarily in the Department of Internal Medicine.

All neurology applicants must either have obtained or anticipate obtaining a doctorate in medicine prior to starting residency.

All  positions are filled through the National Neurology Matching Program.  Required documents include:  Curriculum vitae, personal statement, USMLE scores, medical school transcript, medical student performance evaluation/Dean's letter, and three letters of recommendation.  Click for our full policy on eligibility and selection.

For questions, please email our Program Coordinator, Ms. Reena Black.
