The multiple facilities and laboratories available for training in Neurology are uniquely clustered within the Medical Center campus. On-campus parking structures and a centrally located academic home base make it such that a trainee could easily park in the morning and not return to the car until evening. A largely continuous aboveground corridor and underground tunnel system linking the buildings that make up the Medical Center provide a welcome element of security, especially for those working at night.
Recognizing that the health and well being of the resident is an important component to success, Vanderbilt has made membership to the Kim Dayani Human Performance Center and to Health Plus (Faculty and Staff Health and Wellness) free to all trainees. In addition, the Student Recreation Center is just a short walk away.
