Biographical Summary

Dr. Scott Wylie is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Vanderbilt University with secondary appointments in the Departments of Psychology and Psychiatry. He also serves as faculty in the Center for Integrative and Cognitive Neuroscience at Vanderbilt. Dr. Wylie’s research program focuses on understanding (1) the nature of executive cognitive changes, particularly those involving action control and speeded decision-making, and (2) how treatments affect these cognitive processes.

Research Summary

His lab uses a combination of experimental cognitive measures, event-related brain potentials, electromyography, intracranial recordings during human neurosurgery, and pharmacological manipulation techniques to investigate these objectives. Dr. Wylie’s research activities are funded by a K23 award from the National Institute on Aging.
